Miamism Fridays – Cuban Coffee

Miami has many great things including weather, architecture, art and of course real estate. But there is something we can boast  about all day long and it’s our coffee!!  We’re not talking about your regular old coffee chains, we are talking about ventanitas all over Miami where you can get a full colada for less than a buck.  (And that stuff will have you flying for hours!).  So what exactly is a “ventanita?” … there are all kinds of Latin American restaurants that are also cafeterias with an exterior window that you can stop by quickly to get your cafesito fix.

What’s great about Miami is that it is so much a part of our life.  You may be offered a shot of coffee at the office or even at the doctor’s office.  This awesome photo by Felipe Rios, aka @instadade on Instagram, captures that moment where you are about to be offered a shot of the best espresso you have ever tasted.  And FYI, the cuban version will already have sugar, we’re talking a double whammy of caffeine and heavenly sweetness! BAM!
