Aventura is known as the City of Excellence. Its diverse population ranges from young families, to professionals to retirees. It is centrally located between the 2 major airports and close to highways and is known for its shopping. People come all over to visit Aventura Mall, Loehmann’s Fashion Island, The Shoppes at Waterways and other shopping centers.
Aventura’s landscaping is breathtaking and was named “Tree City USA” by the National Arbor Foundation. It also has its own Aventura Police Department and has one of the lowest crime rates in Miami-Dade County. It’s Public Charter school (K through 8th grade), was opened in 2003 and already has an “A” rating.
Activities from its Community Services Department range from special events, athletic leagues and cultural arts programs. It also has a Community Recreation Center on the Intracoastal that houses a gym, a fitness center, classrooms and computer center.
There are several parks within Aventura including a water park, ball fields, playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts. You can’t drive through Aventura without seeing people jogging or speed walking on its scenic 3 mile exercise trail which winds around the city.
Aventura’s real estate is mostly condominiums – with beautiful luxury high-rises facing the
18-hole championship golf course or The Intracoastal, but also has town homes and single family homes to offer. It is a great community to live in and enjoy.
