Miamism Fridays - Lifeguard Stands

I've always wanted to start documenting Miami Beach Lifeguard Stands because they are all so different and define our landscape.  I did a search on Flickr for "Miami lifeguard stands" with creative commons and take a look at the amazing photos that came up!!  Each of these were taken by different people and by clicking on them, you will be taken to their page on Flickr and you can learn more about the photographer, the image and where it was taken.

….another Miamism !!

If you are wondering what CREATIVE COMMONS is all about, it's the type of license you can give your content if you wish to grant people the right to use your work under certain circumstances.  A lot of content on the web is "all rights reserved" and this means that it is copyrighted and cannot be used without author's permission.  It's astonishing to hear that some people think they can just steal photos from the web without asking, just because it's there.

Very timely post. A double whammy is when they steal it, put it in material and I charge others for. Keep those Miami photos safe!!
