Carnival weekend is happening now in Miami Shores! We always like to add photos during the event, so here's a slide show that will continue to grow as the days go by. If you want to share your photos, let us know.

In case you don't know, the St. Rose of Lima Carnival is a church and school sponsored function – but it is also a community event. We've said in the past,

What I find amazing is that residents get involved and volunteer no matter their religious beliefs or inclinations. It’s all about working together for a good cause and having fun while doing it.

St. Rose of Lima Carnival is located at 425 NE 105th Street in Miami Shores.
If you are interested in volunteering, make sure you call the parish office – there’s also the option of sponsoring a booth, donating items for the silent auction or just attending. I hope to see you next year at the carnival – I’ll be the annoying one with the camera! (Just ask any Miami Shores Police Officer and they will confirm)

is known mostly as a small residential area but Downtown Miami Shores has great businesses to be proud of. Through the years Downtown Miami Shores has gone through changes and we expect it to get better and better especially with the redevelopment plans taking place.
